The State has sent us calculations for 1,079 plaintiffs for Penalty Pay. We have told the State that 992 plaintiffs agree with the calculations. The State has only sent to the Court judgments for 394 plaintiffs. Worse than that, only 12 plaintiffs have been paid.
At three different times this month I have called the Attorney General’s office to ask when the process will be speeded up. I have been given absolutely no assurances that things will ever move quicker than the glacial pace that they are moving now.
We are submitting a judgment to the Court requesting that the judgments be entered for over 600 plaintiffs.
We hope that our action will cause the State to request a Court conference and perhaps we can get the Court to give the State’s minions the incentive to put some resources on resolving this case.
